This is an old one – a couple of years – but a new working, in that it is Photoshopped.
I came across this broken lamp post on the cobbled path at Hampstead Green and was struck by the way the lines of the lamp merged into the lines of the branches. I went back to photograph it a couple of times – working the shot. The fitting has been repaired now.

This is two photos in fact; one with a sharp background; and one with a sharp lamp post. Some of the mid-ground foliage is out of focus, but that was beyond my skills/patience.
Orson Wells did a similar sort of thing on a couple of shots on Citizen Kane, cranking the film through the camera twice, so I feel in good company!
